Juventus youth product, Joel Untersee is set to move on loan to Swiss second division outfit FC Vaduz. South African born Joel is a right back but can also operate higher up the field as a right midfielder and has represented Switzerland at international level since he was 14 years old. Currently a regular for the Swiss U20s it is hoped that the senior experience will help his development.
Returning to our ranks from their recent loan moves are former primavera target-man Stefano Padovan and Albanian attacking midfielder Elvis Kabashi. Both failed to make any headway towards the first team at Pescara, where they both headed last Summer –
Kabashi – 1 SUB Appearance, 11 minutes in 4-2 victory over Carpi
Padovan – 5 SUB Appearances, 45 minutes in total, 1 assist. (Stefano has continued to produce goals for the Italy U20, for whom he has made 3 second half appearances since September, scoring 3 times)
The big striker may be on his way to Vicenza, who look set to fight hard for promotion from Pro Lega 1 this season. A club will hopefully be found for Elvis in the coming days.
Over at Empoli, towering CB Daniele Rugani is enjoying a tremendous season, having played in 19 of his side’s 21 fixtures. Sitting just a solitary point off top spot, promotion appears well within their grasp. The defender, whom we co-own, has also found promotion to the Italy U21 squad in recent months, making it to the bench of the azzurrini in their last three fixtures. Due to his very solid progress, we will probably be speaking to Empoli this month in order to purchase his remaining 50%. Leaving him on loan at Empoli, perhaps even beyond the Summer if they were to reach Serie A.
Dropping down ever deeper to Lega Pro…Left wing-back Nazzareno Belfasti has moved to Gubbio on loan after a disappointing stint at pro Vercelli.
