In November, Americans have the opportunity to send a message to Bush, Cheney, Rice and their numerous mega-wealthy benefactors. A message of ‘fuck you, we have had enough’. This statement can be beamed loud and clear to Washington by voting congressional power out of the Republicans’ hands. This is an important juncture not just for the Americans of today but for the future generations who will inherit whatever state the country is allowed to be carved into. Already the effects of pouring many billions of $ into WAR are impacting upon the education and safety of the American people. Already the proxy imperialist foreign policies have created justified hatred of the West, the world over. Already the President of the United States has centralized power to his one remaining dangerously defective brain cell. Do we want these problems to be exasperated in our names, with our support??? Do we want our kids to grow up in fear??? Do we want the government to turn the US and as much of the world as they can cover with high tech troops and clandestine agreements with despotic heathens, into one giant Police State in which only the Pro Bush supporters are safe and beyond the sadistic laws continually being brought into reality in order to strengthen the position of those at the very top of the Republican Guard and their commercial partners???
Not only can anyone, and I mean anyone, like you or me, be arrested and classed as a ‘terror suspect’ without the arresting officer being required to provide ANY EVIDENCE supporting the charge, then bundled into a plane, flown out to a detention centre, chained in iron shackles, then treated like a rabid dog awaiting a bullet. Not only does the US willingly purchase ‘terror suspects’ from wholly unreliable bounty hunters who are more concerned with making a few greenbacks that making the world a safer place. Not only does the US government condone torture and extreme abuse of human rights, but they protect their staff from prosecution for the very crimes for which they arrest and detain foreign nationals; ‘terrorism’. They also have systematically eroded the power of the American Constitution and with it the civil liberties (see surveillance bills) of the American people, attacked their own intelligence community for concluding that the illegal war in Iraq has INCREASED THE THREATS POSED TO AMERICANS. Bush recently said, of these obvious conclusions, that those who state such FACTS are embracing “the enemy’s propaganda.”, which translates to ‘they are an enemy of the US’. Anyone, at home or abroad, who openly opposes or criticizes the President’s actions becomes a target of the American Government. Dissent is seen by White house as ‘embracing terrorist propaganda’ which is more than enough to send the dissident(s) to an American made hell-zone like Guantanamo bay where international law is invalid. The ‘detainee’ laws have given the US military the power to implement these methods:
‘No evidence has to be presented or even possessed to justify the detention of the person as a terrorist. As no evidence is required, anyone can be branded a terrorist suspect.’-Counterpunch.
I will be campaigning sporadically, in my own small but viciously sincere manner, for an end to Bush and Blair and everything they represent because I want a future in which the non UK/US world is given reason to trust ME and all the Americans and Brits I know and love who are thoroughly wicked people, instead of a future in which the governments I can’t avoid supporting with TAX contributions, are carving a global niche for the Westerners on both sides of the Atlantic, as imperialistic, controlling through fear, arrogant Kunts.
From my admittedly small amount of research, I conclude that while the Democrats are wholly too frightened of falling foul of the Bush anti-dissent methods to launch a credible and sustained fight against the White House wankers, the potential devastation for the Americans and the global population if Congress remains subserviently in Republican hands is too great to ignore. In short, better to win back some power for the weaklings than to allow the Republicans to continue in their current vein of eradicating civil liberties and launching and/or supporting (Israel/Lebanon, Iraq, Afganistan) $ for blood, illegal wars in foreign lands, sickeningly, all in the name of ‘democracy’…
‘This is an administration that advocates torture, deceives the public, spends billions of dollars on a failed war. This is an administration where in the year of Katrina, Exxon Mobil claimed the highest profit margin in the history of world business. It is an administration that belittles, demeans, deceives, and indeed kills our brothers, our sisters, our sons, and our daughters.’Sean penn
A chance to stem the flow, a chance to show the non-western world that not all Americans are war-mongering, cold-blooded, lawless, arrogant scum. A chance to begin advancing along the lengthy and heavily guarded against pathway towards repairing the rifts created in recent years, and maybe, for some of us, a chance for redemption in our own eyes and in the eyes of the World watching us.
On September 29th 2006, a new Torture/Terror was passed through American congress. A bill which confirms the American government’s complete disregard for the Geneva convention of human Rights…:>>>
The Senate has voted 65-34 in favor of S. 3930, “A bill to authorize trial by military commission for violations of the law of war, and for other purposes.” Here, “trial by military commission” means that, if you are an unlawful enemy combatant, you have no right to a trial by your peers or any other basic protections of the Bill of Rights. (Who counts as an “enemy combatant”? Whomever the government says. Even U.S. citizens who haven’t even left the country, much less engaged in combat? Yes.) And “other purposes” means torturing people.

PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE ANY REALISTIC HOPES OF PEACE AND PROSPERITY FOR YOURSELVES AND FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS, I IMPLORE YOU ALL TO DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO MAKE THE UPCOMING CONGRESSIONAL ELECTIONS POLITICALLY INJURE BUSH,CHENEY and RICE AND CURTAIL THEIR DISGRACEFUL MARCH TOWARDS ISOLATING THE TWO MAJOR WESTERN POWERS AS ‘ENEMIES OF THE WORLD’.
