‘It’ was a test of character, we have shown a willingness to achieve victory at all costs. There are many things to correct, it is normal for a young team like ours, but this group is a great starting point, “- Fabio Grosso

Younes Marzouk Juventus

Younes Marzouk capped his return from injury with a goal.

A largely horrid defensive performance yet our superiority of talent and fitness saw us power to victory late one. There appears the same complete lack of organization at the back, something which surely Grosso must focus upon if we are to stand any chance of success in the league and elsewhere.

Pellini continued his fine form in midfield. Donis was lively as always, Udoh has a poacher’s instinct and it lifted the team to see both Clemenza and especially Marzouk return to the fold (The french Moroccan has been recovering from injury for the last few months). Nedved’s bastard son,Roman Macek and Italy U17 captain Filipo Romagna are both close to resuming full training. Both players are expected to make positive impacts this season.

Two wins out of two in the league with our EUFA Youth League opener against Malmo set for Tuesday evening.
