Simone Muratore grabbed the match winner in the 39th minute. Juve will now play Lazio in the two leg semi-final in January.

Other news in brief…

Schiavone and Beltrame both played their part in Modena’s 2-1 home victory over Trapani, which keeps them in 10th position in the table. Just the one point outside the play-off zone.

Rumours abound regarding Genoa’s tricky Argentine winger, Diego Perotti. The 26 year old flair merchant has been on the Juve radar since 2011 and his fine form for high-flying Genoa has encouraged Juve, amongst other clubs, to morph their interest into contemplating a deal for the player. Qualification for the knock-out stage of the champions league has added a few gold nuggets to our coffers which Allegri wishes to spend on a defender (due to the continued absence of Barzagli) and a change in the offensive unit to give the manager more options up top.

However, with our front line presently packed, a move to bring Perotti to Turin in January can only transpire if a player leaves the club. Giovinco seems the most obvious choice. Another suggestion broached by the press has been to offer Genoa a transfer fee and a loan of Kingsley Coman…

Levski Sofia midfielder, Bozhidar Kraev, who at 17 years old is considered by many to be one of the finest emerging talents on the continent, is set to visit Juve for a 3 day trial in late December. The attacking midfielder will then head to Manchester City for a week long trial.

None other than former Bulgarian superstar Hristo Stoichkov has been following the youngster…
“He is best when he is dribbling at speed. But I especially appreciate his unselfishness and willingness to play for the team,”

Kraev was at Stoichkov’s spanish academy of excellence before moving to the Levski Sofia senior side, and the director had this to say…
“Talents like him are born once in a decade. He is a complete player already, with excellent ball control, vision and unique passing ability.”

With the Bulgarian outfit in dire need of cash, and the player’s contract expiring next Summer, a move to the ranks of a top european side seems imminent and likely.
