i saw a picture in the paper yesterday,
that made me feel sorrow, anger, total dismay.
it was an article highlighting a savage slaughter,
of the unforunate seals that live in canadian water.
10,000 are to be killed every hour,
4 in 10 skinned alive while hunters revel in a crimson shower.a senseless massacre, why must they die??
especially the babies, who cant even try,
to escape away into the sea,
cos they are too young2realize they are not free.

im astonished people say that seals eat too much fish,
unlike us their meals arent served up on a dish.
marine life is in very short supply,
cos we have taken too much fish out to fry.
the problem with humanity,
is that we take more than we need,
the world is run by people,
who are obsessed with greed.

no surprise that demand has risen sharply for their special skin,
so does this excuse this blooddrenched sin?
