It appears that despite interest from Chelsea amongst other top european clubs, juve have won the race to sign budding croatian star Andrej Kramaric.
The 23 year old began his career at Dinamo Zagreb after his sixth birthday, where after smashing over 450 goals for the youth sides he was hailed as something rather special. However, after making his debut for the seniors at 17, he fell foul of the management and was transferred to Rijeka in the summer of 2013.
In his first season for Rijeka he scored 27 goals. And has continued such fine form this term, with his strike rate for the club currently set at an astonishing 37 from 39 games. With european experience under his belt, and described as ‘a versatile striker who is mobile enough to run behind defences and rather than waiting for crosses or ball to come to him, tends to run towards the ball, engulfing his opposition with an air of unpredictability about his play. Although naturally a lone striker his versatility makes him able to play well as winger or second striker’ it is no surprise that he has found his way not only into the Croatian national squad, but also onto Beppe’s radar.
When quizzed by skysports on the growing rumours of his impending transfer to Juve, the youngster responded…
“Playing in the Champions League would be a dream, is one of the major championships: one day I would love to play in Italy…There are strong players (at Juve), world class. But I trust in my strength and my potential. I know I could put myself in the show, I did not give it up ever. “
His 14/15 campaign thus far makes encouraging reading: 15 league games, 21 goal, 10 Europa League games, 6 goals. With his contract expiring next Summer, now is the time to swoop for what could prove, one of Europe’s hottest young talents.
Next on the list of promising youngsters under observation by Beppe and Paratici is Colombian fullback Andrés Felipe Tello Muñoz. The 18 year old is said to be showing promise as a future successor to Stephan Lichsteiner. Still just 18 years old, the defender plies his domestic trade for native outfit Envigado and has established himself this season as a first team regular. If we were to sign the player, it is rumoured that he would move first to Cagliari, in absence of an EU passport.
